When you need to convert bar to pascal

Pressure conversions are used for tyre inflation, weather readings, scuba and industrial gauges, and HVAC work, where gauges and manuals may be calibrated in different units.

Typical values: 0.5 bar is about 50000 Pa, and 5 bar works out to roughly 500000 Pa. Because the ratio is fixed at 100000, you can scale any amount linearly — doubling the bar doubles the pascals.

A single tyre or gauge spec is often printed in two or three pressure units side by side for international use.

How to convert bar to pascal

One bar equals 100000 pascals. To convert, multiply the number of bar by 100000:

pascals = bar × 100000

For example, 10 bar × 100000 = 1e+06 pascals.
