Does the count include both the start and end day?

By default it counts the difference (end minus start), so the start day is not counted. Add one if you need to include both endpoints.

How the date calculator works

All three tools work on whole calendar days in your local time zone. "Days between" subtracts the start date from the end date; "days until" compares a target date with today; "add/subtract" shifts a date forward (positive) or backward (negative) by the number of days you enter. Leap years are handled automatically by the browser's date engine.

Is the start day counted?

No — it shows end minus start, so a Monday-to-Wednesday gap is 2 days. Add one if you need to include both ends.

Does it handle leap years?

Yes. The calculation uses real calendar dates, so February 29 and leap years are counted correctly.
