Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: 18 June 2026. This policy explains what data CalcPalace collects, how cookies and advertising work on this site, and the choices you have.
Summary
CalcPalace ("we", "us", "the site") provides free online calculators and unit converters. The calculations you run happen entirely inside your own browser — the numbers you type are never sent to or stored on our servers. We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect names, email addresses or payment details through the calculators.
The site is supported by third-party advertising. Advertising and analytics providers may set cookies and process limited technical data as described below.
Who is responsible for your data
CalcPalace is the data controller for this website. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at [email protected] or via our contact page.
What data is collected
- Calculator inputs: processed locally in your browser only. Not transmitted, not logged, not retained by us.
- Technical / server logs: our hosting provider may automatically record standard request data such as IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamp for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
- Cookies & advertising identifiers: set by us and by third-party advertising and analytics partners (see below).
- Consent preference: your cookie choice is stored locally in your browser (
localStorage) so we don't ask again on every visit. This value never leaves your device.
Cookies we and our partners use
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. We use the following categories:
| Category | Purpose | Set by |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Remember your cookie-consent choice; keep the site functioning | CalcPalace (localStorage) |
| Advertising | Serve and measure ads, limit repetition, and (with consent) personalise ads | Google AdSense & partners |
| Analytics | Understand aggregate, anonymous traffic and page performance | Analytics provider |
You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may make the consent banner reappear on every visit.
Google AdSense & third-party advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its certified advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Where required by law, personalised advertising is only enabled after you give consent via the cookie banner. If you decline, we instruct partners to serve non-personalised (contextual) ads where supported.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by Google in your Google Ad Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices (US) and youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
- Learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Analytics
We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages viewed, approximate region, device type). This data is used in aggregate to improve the site and is not used to identify you individually.
Your rights (GDPR — EU/UK visitors)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. To withdraw cookie consent, clear this site's cookies/localStorage in your browser, which restores the consent banner. To exercise other rights, email [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Your rights (CCPA/CPRA — California residents)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (which can include cookie-based advertising identifiers). We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of interest-based advertising, use the opt-out links above or your browser's Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour where technically supported. To make a request, email [email protected].
Data retention
We do not retain calculator inputs at all. Server logs held by our hosting provider are kept only for a short period (typically up to 90 days) for security and then deleted or anonymised. Cookies set by advertising and analytics partners are retained for the periods defined in those partners' own policies, which generally range from the duration of your session up to about 24 months. Your locally stored consent preference persists until you clear your browser storage.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
